Both our sugar and snap peas are planted as early as March, weather permitting. Being a cold weather crop, we only plant two or three successive plantings to beat the heat. So if you see them at market, enjoy them before they’re gone! Our peas are normally only available for two-three weeks in June.

Prep and Storage

  • Use as soon as possible, refrigerate in a plastic bag for 3-4 days maximum
  • Snap and snow peas can be eaten whole, but snap peas need strings removed

How to Use

  • Eat snap or snow peas fresh, after lightly rinsing with cold water
  • Snow peas do well in stirfry, cook for only 2 minutes or less so they retain their crunch
